Just read your blog posting on Bernardus. My wife & I have stayed at the lodge several times…it is LOVELY!!! The restaurant is superb…probably some of the best dining in the Monterey/Carmel area. The chef, Cal Stamenov, is also Ex Chef at Quail Lodge, just down the road, and Wills Fargo Steak House in the village of Carmel Valley.
Keep the blog coming!! Did you try Joullian when you were in the Valley? We think their wines are some of the best around that area. Their winemaker is Ridge Watson, brother of Tom Watson, the famous professional golfer.
